Circular on Implementation of Supplementary Rules for Administrative Regulations on Safety Navigation on Deep-draft Fairways at Yangtze River Estuary

To all the shipping enterprises, agents and relevant entities:
After more-than-three-year traffic, the first-phase deep-draft fairways at the Yangtze River estuary have produced good social effects and accumulated experience of safe navigation. In order to promote the development of container transport at Shanghai Port, ensure the utilization of maximum height of tide and further exercise the functions of deep-draft fairways, our bureau has, on the basis of the Administrative Regulations on Safety Navigation on Deep-draft Fairways at Yangtze River Estuary, formulated the Supplementary Rules for the Administrative Regulations on Safety Navigation on Deep-draft Fairways at Yangtze River Estuary. Such rules will be enforced on March 1, 2004.
All the relevant entities are required to organize the familiarization of the rules and ensure the implementation thereof so as to protect the safety of navigation at the Yangtze River estuary.
