Mar 20-SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to northern Europe dropped 4.7 per cent to US$819 per TEU in the week ending Friday, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).

　　Asia-Mediterranean trade slipped 4.3 per cent to $802 per TEU, American Shipper reported.

　　Asia to the US west coast declined six per cent week over week to $1,338 per FEU while those to the east coast also fell six per cent to $2,721 per FEU, according to IHS Media's Market Data Hub.
